Movie Review: Across the Universe...

Around here, this movie snuck in almost unannounced... And kept its existence pretty quiet.

Maybe it should be considered a musical... Being a Beatles fan, and not a fan of re-makes or new interpretations... I'd have to say that it's amazing how well they incorporated many of the Beatles songs within the movie; they really seemed to fit well. Those singing the songs, also did well. Their voices did not harm my enjoyment of the songs. For a while, I think I will see movie images when hearing some of my old favorites.


The story line was nice... a couple spots were a bit strange and twisted, but overall - enjoyable to watch (and listen). I don't like bad things happening to good people, and I'd say there was nothing too upsetting with this movie. I watched it twice, which cleared up a few question marks.

This musical/movie touches on love, life, jealousy, family, friendship, Vietnam and more...

I'm glad I watched/listened to it... you too may want to give this a go...
