Why ?

This ISN'T about things that bug me. This is more about my lack of understanding WHY people do these things. I'm not saying that I think that the people who do these things are bad, or that I don't like them. I simply, do not understand why the people do or have done these things.

Should we get the obvious out of the way? I think so.

First Group.

How is it that so many people voted for that idiot (wait a minute... you already think that I'm speaking of the President - not surprising). I actually know people who voted for this guy... people who I thought - thought more like I did: An old friend that I played hockey with, a co-worker that I regularly work on projects with, another co-worker that I otherwise enjoy talking to and even my brother in law. The funny thing is... I'm apparently part of the minority of people who did not vote for him. I could go on, but that's not the point. I'm not anti- republican. I just can't believe that he received more that a cou

Second Group.

Now, if I didn't already include you in the previous group, then you may be included here. Smoking. I don't get it. There are so many people with health problems related to smoking. Most (I believe all) of my Aunt's and Uncles that have already passed away were smokers, and died with smoking related problems. Last year, I was at my Aunt "smoke skinny cigarettes" funeral. She ended up with emphysema, and later died with other long term smoking related illnesses. Anyway, I was talking to her son, and he reaked of cigarettes. I was thinking "I guess we'll have one of these for you before too long". Do they hate life that much that they want to cut it short? Are they that ignorant that they just assume it would not happen to them? Ok, it likely is addicting - but if you don't start, then you won't have to worry about quiting.

Litter bugs ! Taking an earlier statement back - I ACTUALLY DON'T LIKE THESE PEOPLE. I have little tolerance for people who do not respect things and other people. I recall seeing some young girl chuck her bag of fast food garbage out her car window. I recently witnessed soemone toss his coffee AND CUP out his car window. And on an almost daily basis, there is always someone flicking their cigarette butt out out the window, or they will grind one into the ground (as if it morphs into dirt or a flowering bush). I was on a subway, when the guy across from me stopped listening to his Walkman (yes - it was years ago), just long enough to pop out the batteries, put in some fresh ones... and toss the old ones out the open subway door. My internal temperature rose abruptly... He, I had to confront.

Do you have anything that you just don't get ???
